Ariel Jerozolimski has been called one of Israel's finest press photographers by the dean of photojournalism in Israel, David Rubinger.
Jerusalem Post editor-in-chief David Horovitz said:" I have developed a deep appreciation of Ariel’s skills. Working as The Jerusalem Post’s Chief Photographer, he has covered a dizzying variety of assignments – photographing everything from horrific scenes of terrorism to pastoral scenes of nature, angry demonstrations to well-mannered political summits. In all environments, whatever the challenges, Ariel has worked conscientiously and skillfully to bring us wonderful photographs that encapsulate the event.
As a newspaper with immense resonance, The Jerusalem Post has benefited greatly from Ariel’s hard work and his expertise. Over the past few years, he was our key photographer in the arduous work of documenting the suicide bombings of the second intifada; he was our war photographer in the 2006 Second Lebanon War and again, in the winter of 2009, for Operation Cast Lead in the South, where he also focused on the rocket attacks from Gaza on southern Israel; he has covered election campaigns, accompanied our feature writers for all manner of magazine articles, taken pictures day after day for our ongoing news coverage, and provided photo features and a weekly “Freeze Frame” picture for our weekend Magazine.
Ariel is bright, friendly, and highly professional, whether catching the perfect moment of a breaking story, or putting a subject at his or her ease for a formal photograph".
With a unique eye for resourcefully framing what might be an "ordinary" picture for others, Jerozolimski injects his photographs with vitality no matter the subject.
